Dental implants on both jaws

The basal technique has the most advantage when it comes to treating large segments such as a jawbone or a full mouth. The basal technique also helps ensure the best success rate in treatment by a single 7-day stage.

  • Place of treatment: dental clinic in Switzerland.
  • Technique: Dental implants, Basal technique
  • Location of the treatments performed: Complete mouth
  • Duration of treatment: 7 days
  • Prosthesis: Fixed and definitive
  • Materials: Bi-composite ceramic
  • Anesthesia: General anesthesia

Preoperative situation

Sylvie contacted her dentist in Switzerland in order to restore her full mouth in a permanent and fixed manner with dental implants. Given the complexity of the operation, her dentist finally referred her to the service of Anveli expertise.

After performing a medical imaging, the dental implants chosen by the Anveli Dental expertise service will be of the basal type.

For the complete restoration of the mouth with the basal technique, the treatment is 7 days.

Day 1: Performing medical imaging and confirming the treatment plan sent.

Day 2: The patient has been fasting for more than 3 hours since he has chosen to benefit from general anesthesia (unconscious sedation). The anesthesiologist takes charge of her and administers general anesthesia.

After having carried out the extraction of the teeth, the dental surgeon (Prof. Ihde) begins the surgical treatment by gingival plasty which will reduce the risk of resorption of the gum tissue and then places the dental implants. During the entire surgical phase, the patient is asleep. 2 hours after waking up, medication is administered to her so that she does not feel pain for the next few hours. Finally, the patient is accompanied to her room.

Day 3: The patient goes to the clinic for the cosmetic test. During this phase, a wax bridge is made on the entire mouth. She can already visualize her future teeth and make changes (size, positioning) Once it has validated the aesthetics of the teeth, the design and production of fixed prostheses can start in the laboratory located in the dental clinic in Zurich, Switzerland. This step invented by Prof. Ihde is only offered by Anveli.

Day 4: Tests and measurements are taken during the realization of the fixed prostheses. The dental implants placed on the complete mouth are still protected by silicone and the correct stability is checked.

Day 5: The fixed prostheses are finished. The last adjustments are made in the mouth and the same evening they can be fixed.

A mouth completely restored in 7 days

On the sixth day, the patient goes for a follow-up visit to check the good occlusion and the feelings following her first meals after the complete restoration of her mouth. She was able to eat properly after a long period of time. Adaptation normally takes between 2 weeks and 3 months.

On the seventh day, she made a video testimony in which she gave her opinion on the basal technique.
